Soft top in Vinyl Pinpoint for Mini British Open (1992-1997) convertible

This is only the outer soft top (without headliner and without padding...)

Vinyl Pinpoint 2-layer Canvas:

• Composition of the 2 layers :
  • The outer layer is vinyl Pinpoint "small grain"
  • The inner layer called "backing" is cotton
• The assembly is made by double folded seams glued to guarantee a better seal and resistance.
• The border of the hood is in Vinyl.
• The canvas has a variable thickness

Notes :

• The 2 side cables are crimped with the springs
• For better insulation, an inner foam on the underside is provided
• The positioning of the sliding bars is facilitated by holes

Technical service notice :

• Things to bear in mind before changing: Check that your sunroof motor is working properly before replacing the soft top.
• A new sunroof cover will always be stiffer than the old one and will therefore put more strain on the motor. The motor may not be able to withstand this stress.
• Before using your sunroof fitted with a new fabric, we advise you to keep your roof closed for 15 days in 1 sunny place or with temperatures above 20°.
• Also fits "special" models which have the same dimensions as those shown in the description.

General information on our soft tops:

• All of our materials are cut using Gerber computerized cutting equipment to make top :
- Sizing, cutting and faultless assembly.
- Perfect adaptation in 3D : it adapts perfectly the curves of the arch.
- Speed of assembly : The main source of difficulty and loss of time during installation is related to the centering of the hood.
• Vinyl and Alpaca soft tops are heat sealed on the outside.
• The main seams are all double-stitched for strength and durability.
• Our tops are all sewn with premium polyester threads which are UV protected. (ensure the longevity of the top)
